MISSION STATEMENT

It seems that every new day brings with it a new cheat or enhancement,
designed to give it's user an unfair advantage over his/her opponent.
We at SOV, are of the feeling that if you have to cheat to win,
you really haven't won all that much.
As this game draws participants from all walks of life, young and old, from many different countries,
we feel it is most important to emphasize the aspects of Fair Play, Honor, and Mutual Respect, in our game play.
We have come together in an effort to form an online family,
where the ideals we share can be nurtured and passed along to those that would join us.
In doing this, we feel we have made this more than "just a game" for many.
We have come to view our clansmen and many adversaries as more than just characters on a screen,
in some game we happen to play.
They've become real people, friends, extensions of our families.
We will strive to foster this feeling of camaraderie within our ranks, and throughout the entire HL community as well.
To this end, we will offer assistance to any that ask it, regardless of clan affiliation or technical experience.
To help our adversaries become better players will in turn (hopefully) do the same for us.
To continually pummel a lesser opponent, while fun for a while, really doesn't do much in way of making you a better player.
Chances are it is also turning off your victim to the game , who, with a little guidance,
could otherwise find this game as enjoyable as you do.
This also make for a more challenging opponent.
Try to be that helpful person that hopefully you came across as you were coming up.
Remember, we were all newbies once.
We all play for one reason, to have fun.
That's what it's all about.
